Operations Coordinator – HSE and Site Operations (Rotational)

About the role

TotalEnergies EP Uganda (Tilenga project) is recruiting an Operations Coordinator for a 12-month rotational assignment in Buliisa, Uganda, starting as soon as possible. The role reports to the Start-Up Manager and Field Manager and covers both HSE oversight and day-to-day coordination of on-site activities across many contractors and disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• HSE: develop, endorse and approve the bridging document and Emergency Response Plan; ensure compliance with HSE and ISO 14001 systems, including the Waste Management Plan and integrity barriers
• Manage downgraded situations, approve SIMOPS dossiers and PTWs, and lead investigations of recordable incidents and Tier 1/2 events
• Coordinate all on-site activities (production, maintenance, inspection, construction, logistics, hospitality, security, community relations, contractors) and run site management tours
• Plan and monitor work programs, approve procedures, report daily, and contribute to shutdown planning and contractor performance evaluation
• Control costs, monitor personnel welfare, enforce the Code of Conduct and hygiene, and mitigate societal risks with community and security resources

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Petroleum, Industrial or Mechanical) or Industrial Chemistry
• Minimum 10 years of practical experience in maintenance and production operations onshore or offshore
• Site Manager, Production Superintendent, HSE Superintendent or similar leadership experience
• Recognized leadership in an oil and gas environment, sound knowledge of TotalEnergies policies, and demonstrated HSE, personnel and technical capabilities
• English is mandatory; OPERCAP + evaluation passed
