Operations, QA & Regulatory Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Operations, QA & Regulatory Manager to lead inventory, logistics, quality management and regulatory affairs for our pharmaceutical distribution business in Kampala. The role ensures product quality, compliance and efficient service delivery to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise annual and rotating stock counts, analyse discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Standardise receiving processes for imported containers and local deliveries, and manage product handling, transfers and returns.
• Oversee order intake across all channels, ensure on‑time dispatch, and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor operational expenses, identify non‑conformities and prepare monthly operational reports for senior management.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with GDP/GMP standards, conduct internal audits and manage CAPA processes.
• Coordinate preparation, submission and renewal of regulatory dossiers, licences and product registrations, and track regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Biotechnology, Quality Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse/operations management, quality assurance or regulatory affairs within a regulated pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) frameworks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office Suite.
• Supply chain and cold‑chain logistics management.
• Regulatory dossier preparation and product registration.
• Quality Management System design, internal/external auditing and CAPA management.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
