Medical Officer & Educator – Telemedicine & Teaching

About the role

We are seeking a qualified medical doctor to split time between clinical telemedicine work for a Health Management Organisation and teaching doctors preparing for international postgraduate exams. The role combines patient care, curriculum delivery and leadership responsibilities across two partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily telemedicine consultations, take histories, assess, prescribe and refer patients while maintaining confidential records.
• Provide clinical advice to the HMO’s operations team and help improve protocols and quality‑improvement processes.
• Teach and tutor doctors for exams such as MRCP, MRCS, MRCOG, PLAB and USMLE through one‑to‑one and group sessions, tracking progress and adapting instruction.
• Lead meetings, coordinate staff, tutors and learners, and proactively solve clinical, academic and operational issues.
• Research grant opportunities and assist in writing proposals, with training provided.
• Travel for occasional in‑person assignments (approximately 15% of the role) with transport and accommodation covered.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) with at least 2 years post‑graduation experience.
• Full, current registration with your national medical council in good standing.
• Strong clinical experience and confidence in independent patient consultations.
• Excellent spoken and written English and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated leadership or people‑management experience.
• Good character verification (references, certificate of good standing or police clearance).
