About the role
Join Meijer as a part‑time cashier and become the face of our store, delivering fast, friendly service to shoppers in the checkout lane. You will help create a positive shopping experience while handling transactions accurately.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the point‑of‑sale system to process purchases, returns, and payments.
- Provide courteous, efficient service and answer customer questions.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment forms responsibly.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
Required profile
- At least 18 years old.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Willingness to learn and use store technology.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work accurately under pressure.
- Friendly, outgoing attitude with a customer‑focused mindset.
Required skills
- Ability to operate a cashier register system.
