Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

Meijer is seeking a licensed pharmacist to lead its community pharmacy operations. The role focuses on safe prescription dispensing, patient education, and expanding clinical services such as immunizations.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions accurately and safely.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and mentor them to improve performance.
• Motivate the pharmacy team to achieve high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies, state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Prioritize workload and resolve patient needs efficiently.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform and supervise clinical services, including immunizations, where permitted.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Registered and licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Experience in retail or community pharmacy practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies, and state regulations.
