Physical Education Teacher (KS1‑KS4 & IBDP)

About the role

The Aga Khan School is seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to deliver high‑quality PE across Key Stages 1‑4 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. You will foster a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment where every student can develop physical competence, confidence and a lifelong love of sport.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that respects cultural diversity and promotes student wellbeing.
• Plan, deliver and assess daily PE lessons, ensuring alignment with the school’s curriculum and the IBDP framework.
• Develop students’ growth mindset through critical thinking, creativity, responsibility and problem‑solving activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues in school‑wide and regional professional learning communities to enhance 21st‑century teaching practices.
• Monitor student attendance, appearance and hygiene; enforce uniform and safety standards.
• Set, mark and provide feedback on homework and assessments in line with school policy.
• Engage with parents through formal conferences and informal discussions regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development workshops and contribute to personal learning plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Sports Science with a Post‑Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
• Commitment to the school’s mission of balancing knowledge with spiritual wisdom.
• Strong leadership qualities within the classroom and collaborative spirit with staff and administration.
• Ability to promote the school’s image both inside and outside the campus.
