Planning Officer – Rwanda, Tanzania & DRC

About the role

The Planning Officer supports Raising The Village’s international expansion across Rwanda, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working under the Senior Officer, you will provide technical, analytical and coordination support to ensure planning activities are well‑documented, data‑informed and aligned with operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support strategic planning processes by compiling contextual research on poverty data, governance, demographics and development priorities.
• Prepare summaries of scoping findings, feasibility assessments and risk analyses.
• Maintain country‑level planning trackers, documentation repositories and expansion dashboards.
• Coordinate scoping missions, including background research, logistics and draft reporting.
• Track pre‑launch milestones and document entry‑readiness requirements such as HR, compliance and implementation considerations.
• Facilitate internal coordination with Programs, Operations, Finance, Government Relations and other cross‑functional teams.
• Assist in onboarding new country teams and consolidate planning documents for executive presentations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical and analytical support for planning activities.
• Experience in compiling and summarising contextual research and data.
• Strong coordination skills across multiple departments and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail in maintaining trackers, dashboards and documentation.
• Ability to work under guidance of senior staff and contribute to cross‑country learning.
