Power BI Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join Trigyn on a contract basis in Entebbe, Uganda. The role involves designing, building and maintaining advanced Power BI solutions that meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into interactive reports and dashboards.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy complex Power BI reports and data models.
• Integrate Power BI with other applications and platforms, including MS-Flow and PowerApps.
• Apply data-visualisation best practices to ensure clear communication of insights.
• Define and enforce standards, optimise performance, and perform basic administration of the Power BI environment.
• Provide support for integration, performance testing, user training, and migration across environments.
• Document solutions, create training materials, and deliver end-user training sessions.
• Resolve production issues within agreed Service Level Agreements and produce regular status reports.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence design and development.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
• Strong background in software development, including experience with MS-Flow or PowerApps.
• Proficiency in database concepts and basic networking knowledge.
