Preschool Cook

About the role

We are looking for a Preschool Cook to join Cadence Education’s early‑learning centers. The cook will prepare nutritious meals and snacks for preschool‑aged children, ensuring food safety and supporting the school’s mission of healthy development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve balanced meals and snacks that meet USDA guidelines.
• Manage food inventory, storage, and supply ordering.
• Distribute meals to classrooms promptly and with a friendly attitude.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation.
• Perform additional duties such as laundry, equipment cleaning, and toy sanitizing as needed.
• Follow safe lifting practices when handling supplies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Meets state preschool cook requirements.
• At least one year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service.
• Preferred: current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification.
