Preschool Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Educator

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to join our dedicated team of early childhood educators. Reporting to the School Director, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Key responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels respected and cared for.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and staff through daily communication.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans as required.
• Plan, deliver, and document curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy and Signature Programs.
• Utilize Cadence‑required systems and communication tools for professional interaction with families and team members.
• Maintain a safe, well‑supervised classroom, following Cadence Education Safety and Supervision guidelines.
• Accurately document accidents, incidents, and escalated behaviors in compliance with company policy and licensing requirements.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and licensing requirements.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool education.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and ability to support children with IEPs.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills for interacting with families and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the School Director.
