Pricing Specialist

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Pricing Specialist to join its team in Kampala, Uganda. The role focuses on developing and executing AFR, OFR/RFR pricing strategies, managing RFQ and tender processes, and delivering accurate, competitive pricing solutions that align with business objectives and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of AFR/OFR pricing strategies and respond to pricing enquiries efficiently.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, ensuring effective resource utilization and productivity.
• Monitor and update local tariffs promptly and accurately.
• Prepare and submit tender documentation and maintain pricing databases for quick query responses.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, airlines, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare carrier performance reports, negotiate competitive rates, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of pricing methods and support business growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of AFR, OFR, RFR logistics and operations.
• Strong understanding of global logistics and geographical markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with a results‑driven attitude.
• Good administrative abilities and attention to detail.
• Basic financial acumen (revenue, cost, gross profit).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
