Order Entry Officer – Logistics & Dispatch

About the role

The Order Entry Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate entry and processing of customer orders in the system while supporting the smooth administrative flow of dispatch operations. The role plays a critical part in maintaining system accuracy, documentation compliance, and coordinating truck flow at the plant to ensure timely and efficient product dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately capture and process customer orders, verifying product specifications, quantities, delivery details and customer information.
• Monitor and update order status in the ERP system, supporting correction of entry errors and maintaining high data accuracy.
• Verify recorded weights, sign and stamp weighbridge and loading documents to confirm correct truck movements.
• Coordinate truck arrivals and departures, communicating with warehouse, production and logistics teams to avoid delays.
• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation such as delivery notes, invoices and loading documents, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the logistics and dispatch team, tracking daily dispatch volumes and responding to internal queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in order processing, logistics coordination or administrative roles within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage.
