Primary/High School Head Teacher

About the role

The Primary/High School Head Teacher will provide strategic leadership for a community school in Namutumba, ensuring academic excellence, spiritual growth, and operational efficiency in line with As One Ministries' mission.

Key responsibilities

• Set and monitor strategic and operational plans, aligning them with ministry values and national education standards.
• Oversee curriculum delivery, lesson planning, assessments, and examination processes.
• Lead recruitment, induction, performance appraisal, and professional development for teaching and support staff.
• Foster a supportive, Christ‑centered work environment and address staff welfare issues.
• Implement and enforce a fair, faith‑based student discipline policy and oversee student welfare, safety, and pastoral care.
• Represent the school to parents, government bodies, donors, and the wider community.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 60 months (5 years) of experience in school leadership or related education management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage school operations.
• Strong commitment to Christian values and the mission of As One Ministries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
