Product Manager – Watu Simu

About the role

Watu Credit Uganda Ltd is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, customer experience, and after‑sales operations for the Watu Simu platform. You will shape product roadmaps, drive automation, and improve onboarding, payment, and support processes across multiple digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Define, defend and iterate the product roadmap for digital channels and after‑sales workflows, balancing compliance, automation and customer satisfaction.
• Prioritise localised product requirements, lead regional UX adaptations, language translations and contextual flows.
• Own the Android, USSD, WhatsApp, In‑App Bot and IVR platforms, promoting self‑service adoption and first‑call resolution.
• Design and execute experiments, user research and data‑driven optimisation of the customer journey.
• Develop support tooling and workflows for frontline teams, including branch officers and field agents.
• Collaborate with OEMs, MNOs, wallet providers, credit bureaus and repair partners to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Drive product and feature go‑to‑market execution with cross‑functional stakeholders.
