Production Pharmacist

About the role

The Production Pharmacist will lead solid oral dosage manufacturing at Kampala Pharmaceutical Industries, ensuring compliance with international quality standards and driving operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee batch manufacturing, line clearance, and documentation for tablets and capsules.
• Manage deviation handling, CAPA implementation, and change control processes.
• Coordinate production planning, capacity optimization, and inventory with ERP systems.
• Lead regulatory inspections (NDA, WHO‑GMP) and maintain audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and a valid Ugandan pharmacist licence.
• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, especially solid oral dosage forms.
• Proven track record in batch oversight, process validation, and equipment qualification.

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical quality systems.
• Expertise in batch documentation, deviation management, CAPA, and change control.
• Experience with process validation, equipment qualification, and production planning.
• Familiarity with ERP and electronic documentation systems.
