Programme Development & Impact Director

About the role

World Vision Uganda is seeking a senior leader to shape and drive its programme development and impact agenda. Reporting to the National Director, the Programme Development & Impact Director will ensure that strategies, quality standards and measurement systems deliver lasting change for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, review and performance management of the national strategy, coordinating cross‑organizational initiatives.
• Prepare six‑monthly strategy performance reports for senior leadership, the Board and the regional office.
• Oversee the Programme Quality Strategy and ensure alignment with global frameworks.
• Drive ESG reporting and carbon‑footprint monitoring in partnership with finance, procurement and operations.
• Provide technical leadership across health, education, livelihoods, child protection and WASH sectors.
• Advise senior leadership on programme performance, risk and sector integration.
• Build capacity of staff and partners in programme quality standards.
• Manage DMEAL processes, data quality monitoring and annual impact measurement in line with World Vision standards.
• Advance digital data systems and information management to support evidence‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in programme design, monitoring, evaluation and learning within an international development context.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of ESG principles and carbon‑footprint assessment.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with a track record of producing strategic performance reports.
