Programme Development & Impact Director

About the role

The Programme Development & Impact Director leads the design, quality assurance and impact measurement of World Vision Uganda’s programmes. Reporting to the National Director, the role ensures strategic initiatives are resourced, executed and aligned with both national and global frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and manage the national strategy, collaborating across the organisation.
• Produce six‑monthly strategy performance reports for senior leadership, the Board and the regional office.
• Lead the Programme Quality Strategy and ensure alignment with global standards.
• Oversee ESG reporting, with a focus on carbon‑footprint monitoring, in partnership with finance and procurement.
• Provide technical leadership for sectoral integration (health, education, livelihoods, child protection, WASH).
• Advise the National Director and senior leadership on programme performance, risk and strategic direction.
• Build capacity of staff and partners in programme quality standards.
• Manage DMEAL processes, data quality monitoring and annual impact measurement.
• Advance digital data systems to generate validated programme data for decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with World Vision and donor technical guidelines, including IMPAQ standards.

Required profile

• Reports directly to the National Director.
• Senior leadership role with responsibility for national strategy execution.
