Project Assistant – Bushenyi

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support community‑driven initiatives in Bushenyi. You will work closely with partner villages, facilitate trainings, and help implement methodologies that raise household incomes and reduce extreme poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project design review meetings with villages and update budgets before implementation.
• Co‑facilitate trainings on financial literacy, sanitation, agriculture, livestock care, VSLA formation and health outreach.
• Prepare and submit procurement lists, verify inputs before distribution, and monitor project follow‑up.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and report regularly to leadership and community members.
• Develop work plans, produce weekly field reports, support donor reporting and proposal writing.
• Attend staff and cluster meetings, manage weekly financial requests, and capture project photos for data repositories.
• Provide feedback to improve project methodologies and suggest sustainable activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in community development programmes, project management, facilitation or leadership.

Required skills

• Strong training and facilitation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
