Project Assistant – Luuka (Uganda)

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support community‑driven initiatives in Luuka. You will work closely with partner villages, facilitating training, monitoring progress, and ensuring project designs translate into tangible income‑generating outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design review meetings with villages, provide feedback, and update budgets before implementation.
• Co‑facilitate trainings on financial literacy, health & sanitation, agriculture, livestock care, and savings groups.
• Implement project methodologies aimed at increasing household income and reducing extreme poverty.
• Prepare procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and manage weekly work plans.
• Conduct field follow‑up, support community groups, and identify risks with mitigation measures.
• Produce weekly field reports, assist with donor reporting and proposal writing, and capture project photos for data repositories.
• Provide feedback to project officers and suggest improvements for sustainability.

Required profile

• University degree in Community Development, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Work or related fields.
• Minimum two years of experience in community development, project management, facilitation or leadership roles.
