Project Coordinator

About the role

The Project Coordinator will oversee, coordinate and lead the implementation of a Coca‑Cola Foundation funded project that aims to enhance circularity in the plastic value chain, integrate marginalized waste collectors into formal systems and create safer, decent jobs in Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Kenya team and take overall technical responsibility for field‑level activities in Uganda.
• Ensure implementation meets contractual objectives, targets and budgetary requirements.
• Lead annual planning and budgeting processes with full accountability to DRC.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with the implementing partner, Ecoplastile, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross‑sector collaboration with government agencies, INGOs, private recycling companies and community leaders.
• Participate in joint progress review sessions and internal learning reviews to adjust plans and budgets.
• Represent DRC publicly at settlement and national levels.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years (60 months) of experience in project coordination.
• Proven experience in environmental, livelihoods or circular‑economy projects.
• Experience working with NGOs, private‑sector partners and refugee‑host community contexts.
• Ability to lead field‑level coordination and manage multi‑partner collaborations.
