Project Coordinator - Self Reliance Module

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Self‑Reliance Module for the WFP project, overseeing field teams, budgets, procurement and reporting. Based in Rwamwanja and Rhino Camp, the role works closely with refugees, host communities and local authorities to deliver livelihood and income‑generating activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor annual and quarterly work plans, budgets and procurement processes in line with donor requirements.
• Provide technical oversight and capacity building for agronomy, financial literacy, business development and market analysis trainings.
• Coordinate with District Agricultural Offices, UNHCR, WFP and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and reporting.
• Manage financial cash‑flow planning, expenditure monitoring and compliance with World Vision and WFP procedures.
• Supervise and mentor project staff and volunteers, ensuring contracts, performance agreements and regular performance reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Development Studies or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in project management, livelihood programmes or agricultural development.
• Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable communities, including refugees and host populations.
