Project Manager – Protection Programs

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the implementation of the Denmark Media Child Protection Project in the Rhino Camp and Imvepi refugee settlements, ensuring high‑quality protection programming for refugees and host communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and monitor project activities in line with DRC Project Cycle Management and donor requirements.
• Collaborate with Program Managers, Country Protection Manager and Quality Manager to ensure sectoral coherence and high‑quality interventions.
• Prepare and submit narrative and financial reports on schedule, working closely with finance and quality teams.
• Develop operational tools, training modules and guidance documents for child protection, GBV prevention, legal aid and community‑based protection.
• Lead donor reporting, update Project Management Tools and facilitate Project Management Meetings to track performance, budget and compliance.
• Represent DRC in sectoral working groups and foster partnerships with government, UN agencies, implementing partners and community stakeholders.
• Promote knowledge sharing and use monitoring and evaluation results to improve program delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in protection sectors, including child protection, GBV prevention and response, legal aid and community‑based protection.
• Strong understanding of the West Nile refugee response context.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder teams and manage complex projects.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
