About the role
The SHINE Project, funded by UNICEF, seeks five Project Officers to lead education activities in the Karamoja region of Uganda. Each Officer will be based in one of the target districts and will support the implementation of primary school programmes over a one‑year renewable contract.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and implement education activities in assigned district schools.
- Ensure child safeguarding and protection standards are applied and report any concerns in line with ZOA’s Child Protection Policy.
- Monitor project progress, collect data and produce regular reports for the Project Manager and donor.
- Collaborate with local partners, school staff and community leaders to achieve project outputs.
- Support the integration of project achievements into broader ZOA education strategies.
Required profile
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to child protection.
- Experience in implementing education or humanitarian projects in remote settings.
- Knowledge of UNICEF and donor reporting requirements.
- Ability to travel and work in the five Karamoja districts.
