About the role
SGS is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the development and implementation of quality management strategies across its operations. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of customer service, continuous improvement, and compliance with key accreditations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute quality management plans aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Review, develop, and implement quality standards, policies, and systems for DRC operations.
- Oversee acquisition and maintenance of external accreditations such as SANAS and ISO.
- Control the creation, modification, coding, review, and approval of quality documentation.
- Ensure effective distribution and implementation of QMS procedures and maintain document control matrices.
- Manage internal audit processes and follow‑up on audit recommendations.
- Prepare quarterly quality reports and drive continual improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar quality management role or senior inspection.
- Fluent in spoken and written French and English.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and autonomous working abilities.
- Knowledge of QHSE standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and relevant legislation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and overall MS Office suite.
- Experience using LIMS applications and handling large, complex databases.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
