Resource Mobilisation Specialist II

About the role
The Resource Mobilisation Specialist II will lead grant acquisition efforts for ChildFund’s Uganda office. Working full‑time on grants, the role focuses on identifying high‑value funding opportunities and delivering high‑quality proposals.
Key responsibilities
- Support the overall grant acquisition strategy from the Uganda Country Office.
- Allocate 100% of time to sourcing, pre‑positioning, and capturing large monetary or programmatic grant opportunities.
- Prepare and submit timely, high‑quality grant proposals.
- Collaborate closely with ChildFund’s global Resource Mobilisation and Grants Management teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in grants acquisition with international, institutional donors.
- Proven track record of successful grant proposals in Uganda.
- Experience in opportunity sourcing, market intelligence, and desk research is preferred.
- Relevant training certifications on grants acquisition (e.g., Humentum) are a plus.
