Sales Agent – Financial Products (Mbale, Uganda)

About the role

Mogo Loans Uganda is seeking energetic Sales Agents to promote its loan products in Mbale District. Agents will identify prospective customers, explain financing options such as Boda‑Boda motorcycle loans, vehicle logbook loans and civil servant loans, and guide them through the application process.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new sales leads within Mbale and surrounding communities.
• Market Mogo’s loan products to Boda‑Boda riders, vehicle owners, civil servants and small businesses.
• Explain product features, eligibility criteria, terms and documentation requirements.
• Conduct field visits, acquire customers and maintain follow‑up to ensure timely conversions.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers and referral partners.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and report accurate sales data.
• Adhere to responsible lending policies and company procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Previous experience in sales, micro‑finance, banking, insurance or telecommunications is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently in the field.
• Good knowledge of Mbale District and its communities.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
