Sales Agent

About the role

The Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated Sales Agent to join its Sales and Marketing department in Kampala. You will engage with prospective and existing customers, present insurance products and services, and guide clients through the complete sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new leads through various channels.
• Conduct in‑person meetings to explain product features and benefits.
• Negotiate and close sales to meet or exceed set targets.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve client issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Follow up with customers post‑sale to reinforce relationships.
• Participate in training sessions, promotional activities, and outreach events.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with clear speaking and active listening.
• Proven customer service ability, building trust and handling inquiries promptly.
• Demonstrated sales aptitude, including lead generation and negotiation.
• Basic understanding of insurance products or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage time effectively and stay organized.
• Comfort using basic computer tools and mobile applications for reporting and customer management.
• Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer‑facing roles is an advantage, but entry‑level candidates are welcome.
