Sales Manager – Material Handling Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead the growth of our Material Handling Equipment business in Uganda. Based on‑site in Kampala, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure, while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key clients.
• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, conduct product presentations and site visits.
• Negotiate contracts, close deals and manage order processing with internal teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports.
• Provide after‑sales support and follow‑up to ensure client retention.
• Contribute to strategic planning and support marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven sales and business development experience, preferably in material handling or related industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of technical specifications and ability to translate them into customer solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset for pricing, proposal development and sales forecasting.
