Sales Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

SAJ is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead channel sales for solar and energy storage solutions across East Africa. You will shape market strategy, build partner networks, and drive revenue growth in a fast‑expanding renewable‑energy market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute channel sales strategies to meet revenue and market‑growth targets in Ireland and East Africa.
• Identify, recruit, and manage distributors, installers, EPCs, and strategic partners within the solar and energy‑storage industry.
• Expand SAJ’s market presence and strengthen brand awareness in Uganda and surrounding countries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners.
• Drive sales activities for residential and commercial solar inverter and energy‑storage solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer needs to uncover new opportunities.
• Conduct commercial negotiations, manage contracts, and support partner onboarding.
• Collaborate with technical support, product management, marketing, and headquarters teams.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and regular market feedback.
• Organise and participate in exhibitions, roadshows, and industry events.
• Support channel partners with product training and business‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales or channel‑development experience in solar PV, energy storage, or renewable‑energy industry.
• Strong understanding of the Italian solar and energy‑storage market; existing network with distributors, installers, EPCs is a plus.
• Proven track record in channel sales and achieving growth targets.
• Self‑driven, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Fluent in English and willing to travel across East Africa.
