Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer will safeguard the bank's head office, its employees, customers, and assets. The role involves proactive patrolling, monitoring, and rapid response to incidents to maintain a secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all security systems are functional, serviced on schedule, and compliant with best‑practice standards.
• Conduct investigations of security incidents, manage crime scenes, and coordinate with law‑enforcement and security service providers.
• Perform physical security risk assessments for the head office premises.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of contracted security agencies.
• Manage keys, alarm systems, and access control points during working hours.
• Prepare detailed reports on observations, incidents, and surveillance activities.
• Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities, enforcing policies, and restraining trespassers.
• Support energy‑conservation efforts by ensuring lights are switched off when not needed.
• Provide security for on‑site works and ensure proper clearance of workers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; cadet course training is an advantage.
• Minimum three years of security or surveillance experience in a reputable organization.
• Training in surveillance and security awareness.

Required skills

• Basic computer operation skills.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Understanding of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
