- Oversee XLSForms on the Kobo server, data checks during collection and data cleaning, and train enumerators and partner staff.
- Maintain and develop R-based cleaning and analysis workflows, including IMPACT R packages, templates and Shiny applications, under version control.
- Review country-level information products and dissemination strategies, and improve data quality and monitoring at country level.
- Ensure compliance with data protection policy and SOPs, including anonymisation and disclosure-risk checks before sharing datasets.
- Lead a capacity-building plan for data officers and interns, providing training, mentoring and feedback.
- Support partners on data processing and sharing, and represent IMPACT on data matters in coordination forums.
- Deliverables include weekly data team meetings, a shared task tracker, internal technical validation of research cycles, maintenance of Power BI and Shiny dashboards, and up-to-date documentation.
Required profile
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data management and analysis, preferably in humanitarian settings.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline (statistics, data science or social sciences) preferred.
- Fluency in English; proven ability to supervise or mentor data staff, including remotely.
- Previous experience in Ethiopia or the Horn of Africa highly preferred.
Required skills
- R and data cleaning and survey analysis workflows; familiarity with IMPACT R packages is an asset.
- Power BI and R Shiny.
- KoboToolbox or ODK and XLSForm design.
- Sampling methods, sample size calculations and survey weighting.
- Git/GitHub; QGIS or ArcGIS are an asset.
- Humanitarian data protection practice, including anonymisation of microdata.
What we offer
- Monthly salary of 2'580 to 2'640 CHF (before income tax) plus a 300 USD living allowance, with a location-dependent security/isolation adjustment.
- Accommodation and food in a guesthouse, and enrolment in a Swiss private pension fund, health, life and repatriation insurance.

- Pre-departure induction in Geneva and Paris, including security training, and psychosocial counselling coverage.
