Senior ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) Surgeon

About the role

Norvik Enterprises is seeking an experienced Senior ENT Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary team in Kampala. The role involves delivering high‑quality outpatient and surgical care for ear, nose, throat, head and neck conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient consultations, diagnosis and management of ENT disorders.
• Perform a full range of ENT surgeries, including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), myringotomy/grommet insertion, mastoidectomy and head & neck procedures.
• Manage emergency ENT presentations such as airway emergencies, epistaxis, foreign body removal and trauma.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments, obtain informed consent and oversee post‑operative care and follow‑up.
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, audiology, radiology and other specialties for integrated patient care.
• Supervise and mentor residents, medical officers and nursing staff.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, clinical protocol development and quality‑assurance initiatives.

Required profile

• MBChB with postgraduate specialization in Otorhinolaryngology (MS/MD/DNB ENT or equivalent).
• Minimum three years post‑residency clinical experience as an ENT surgeon.
• Valid medical licence and eligibility for registration with the Uganda Medical & Dental Practitioners Council.
• Fellowship or sub‑specialty training (e.g., Head & Neck Oncology, Otology, Rhinology) is an advantage.
• Proven track record of independently performing major and minor ENT surgeries.
