Service Center Technician

About the role

The Service Center Technician will deliver excellent customer service by repairing faulty units, managing spare‑part inventory and supporting sales and revenue targets within a regional service centre. The role combines hands‑on technical work with coordination of field technicians and inventory forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily pending work orders and close the loop with customers through the service tracking desk.
• Ensure all serviced customers settle payments post‑repair.
• Provide continuous ticketing training for the field team and assign high‑value tickets to field technicians when customers cannot visit the centre.
• Optimize field‑technician allocation by balancing tickets from the tracking desk and regional centres.
• Forecast monthly spare‑part demand, place orders and maintain inventory accuracy for spares and finished goods.
• Implement the new OOW policy with a focus on minimum payment based on customer category.
• Coordinate consignment movement of spare parts with accurate paperwork and ensure 100% return of used parts for refurbishment analysis.
• Prepare and circulate monthly stock‑take summaries, highlighting issued, used and variance figures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage work orders and interact effectively with customers.
• Experience in spare‑part inventory control and demand forecasting.
• Familiarity with field‑technician coordination and ticketing processes.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and documentation.
