Social Media Officer (Part‑time, Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time, remote Social Media Officer to drive Zamsell Uganda’s presence across key social platforms. You will create and publish engaging content, interact with our online community, and support marketing initiatives that boost brand awareness and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and schedule daily posts on Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok.
• Monitor comments, messages and mentions, responding promptly and professionally.
• Design and execute social media marketing campaigns aligned with product launches and promotions.
• Optimize posts for reach and engagement using SMO techniques.
• Track performance metrics with analytics tools and report insights to the team.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure brand consistency.

Required profile

• Strong ability to write clear, brand‑aligned copy and create visual content.
• Experience in social media marketing and optimization, including campaign planning and audience targeting.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, inclusive online presence.
• Familiarity with major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok) and basic analytics/scheduling tools.
• Attention to detail, good time‑management and the capacity to work independently in a part‑time remote setting.
• Prior experience in e‑commerce or retail marketing is a plus.
