Graduate Innovation Thinktank (GIT) is seeking a contract Software Engineer to join its hybrid team in Kampala. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality back‑end solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy back‑end web applications.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to define requirements and deliver features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance.
• Integrate databases and external APIs.
• Maintain version control and follow Agile development practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in application or system development, with a portfolio of projects.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality code.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
