Speech and Language Therapist

About the role

Brite Medical Centre is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team in Entebbe. The therapist will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children and adults experiencing speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence‑based therapy sessions and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, educators, and families.
• Educate caregivers on home‑based strategies and participate in case discussions.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Speech‑Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional license or eligibility for registration in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Previous clinical experience in healthcare or educational settings is preferred.
• Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment‑planning skills across age groups.
• Commitment to ethical, patient‑centered care and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
• Experience using electronic medical records systems.
