Sports Camp Counselor

About the role

As a Sports Camp Counselor you will lead and guide a group of 11‑14 year‑old campers, creating a safe and enjoyable summer experience focused on the CBRC values of commitment, character, competence, and connections. You will foster positive relationships with both campers and their parents while promoting active participation in a variety of sports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily sports activities and games.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all campers at all times.
• Model and reinforce CBRC core values throughout the camp experience.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about camper progress and any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and health information.

Required profile

• High‑energy, enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for working with youth.
• Flexible, adaptable, and responsible with a strong commitment to follow‑through.
• Experience with children ages 11‑14 is preferred but not mandatory.
• Desire to develop leadership skills and gain experience in youth sports instruction.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 30 days of hire if not already certified.
