Staff Accountant

About the role

Plombon Insurance is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to maintain and manage the company’s financial records. You will ensure data accuracy, support financial analysis, and contribute to month‑end and year‑end closing activities within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes and reconcile bank statements.
• Process invoices and expenses, ensuring timely payments.
• Generate financial reports and support financial analysis.
• Prepare and file state and federal tax returns.
• Participate in audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
