Storekeeper - Agricultural Products

About the role

Jubaili Agrotec Ltd, an agricultural company serving farmers and agribusinesses in Uganda with seeds, agro-inputs, veterinary solutions and poultry products, is hiring a full-time, on-site Storekeeper. The role manages daily store operations for agricultural and related products, including receiving, verifying and organizing stock, keeping inventory records up to date and ensuring proper storage conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and organize incoming stock, and update inventory records
• Ensure proper storage conditions for seeds, agro-inputs, veterinary supplies and poultry products
• Issue materials to internal departments and clients
• Maintain accurate documentation and carry out regular stock counts to prevent shortages and losses
• Monitor product expiry dates and enforce safety and cleanliness standards
• Coordinate with procurement, sales and logistics teams to support smooth distribution
• Follow company policies and regulatory requirements, report discrepancies promptly and help improve store processes

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in storekeeping, warehousing or inventory management in a commercial or agricultural setting
• Ability to keep accurate stock records, perform regular stock-taking and use basic inventory or ERP systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and reliability in handling documentation
• Understanding of safe storage practices, handling of agro-inputs and veterinary products, and basic workplace safety standards
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with procurement, sales, logistics and other internal teams
• Basic numeracy and computer literacy (e.g. Excel or inventory software) for stock recording and reporting
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in agriculture, agro-inputs or related industries is an added advantage; a certificate, diploma or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, business or a related field is preferred
