Procurement and Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Raising The Village is looking for a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator based in Kamwokya, Uganda. The role covers end-to-end procurement, supplier management, inventory and fleet administration, and supports compliance and audit.

Key responsibilities

• Procurement planning and execution, including competitive quotation and bid processes
• Supplier sourcing and management, and contract and purchase order management
• Inventory and warehouse management, and asset tracking and verification
• Fleet administration and vehicle maintenance, and facilities and office management
• Budget monitoring and cost control, and procurement and logistics record keeping
• Compliance and audit support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transport Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Operations Management or a related field; a professional qualification in procurement and/or supply chain management is an added advantage
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in procurement, logistics, administration, supply chain or operations management
• Demonstrated experience managing procurement processes, suppliers, assets, fleet, facilities and/or warehouses
• Experience with an NGO, non-profit or development organisation is highly desirable

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles, policies, procedures, controls and ethical standards
• Strong knowledge of inventory and warehouse management, and of fleet and asset management systems
• Good understanding of budgeting, financial controls, risk management and internal controls
• Strong contract and supplier management skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with procurement, inventory, ERP or asset management systems is an advantage
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
