Student Coordinator – Primary & High School

About the role

The Student Coordinator will support the spiritual formation and safeguarding of pupils at AsOne Primary and High School. Reporting to the Head Teacher, the role begins in January 2027 and is full‑time, based in the school community in Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and monitor the school devotion programme, ensuring age‑appropriate, engaging sessions.
• Deliver discipleship lessons, mentor students, and organise faith‑based clubs such as Scripture Union and Bible quizzes.
• Coordinate student community visits and outreach activities, linking classroom learning with service.
• Partner with church and community leaders to expand discipleship and outreach opportunities.
• Serve as the designated Child Safeguarding Focal Point, acting as first contact for any protection concerns.
• Promote non‑violent discipline, enforce the school’s child protection policy, and prevent sexual harassment, bullying and other abuse.
• Provide regular training for students on personal safety, consent and reporting abuse.
• Train teaching and support staff on safeguarding standards and reporting obligations.
• Maintain child‑friendly reporting channels and confidential records of safeguarding cases.
• Investigate, document and respond to reported concerns, referring serious cases to police or child welfare authorities as required.

Required profile

• At least 24 months (2 years) of experience in an educational or child‑protection setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead spiritual formation programmes and manage safeguarding processes.
• Strong collaboration skills with teachers, church leaders and community partners.
• Commitment to uphold the school’s policies on non‑violent discipline and child protection.
