Substitute Teacher Assistant – Early Childhood Education

About the role

Join Cadence Education as a Substitute Teacher Assistant and help create a safe, engaging, and fun learning environment for preschool children. You will step in during staff absences to ensure continuity of our research‑based curriculum and support the developmental needs of each child.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Cadence Education’s curriculum, fostering both fun and developmental growth.
• Document and share daily milestones with parents.
• Collaborate with teachers and leaders to design enriching activities.
• Observe children’s interests, ensure safety, and enhance play with language and appropriate materials.
• Model positive social behaviors and support skill development.
• Assist in planning a balanced daily schedule that includes quiet time, active play, indoor/outdoor activities, and fine/gross motor experiences.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Meets all state preschool teacher‑assistant requirements.
• Flexible and able to work during business hours.
• Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare is a plus.
