About the role
Acorns International School (AIS) in Kampala is looking for a Teaching Assistant for its early years programme. The post provides classroom support and works closely with the Lead Teacher to deliver the curriculum so that every learner receives quality education.
Key responsibilities
- Teach all areas of the curriculum
- Prepare the classroom for lessons
- Handle classroom displays and submit paperwork
- Work one-on-one or with small groups of students
- Take part in professional development and collaborative planning
- Help on school outings and at school events
- Report to and liaise with parents and guardians
- Assess learners and write reports
Required profile
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (an added advantage)
- Experience working with children
- Relevant teaching experience
- Experience in an international school is an added advantage
