Technical Programme Lead

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Technical Programme Lead to drive the implementation of Child Protection and GBV prevention interventions in the Adjumani Refugee Settlement, Uganda. You will work closely with the Protection Coordinator to ensure high‑quality service delivery for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, planning and execution of child protection and GBV programmes, ensuring compliance with donor agreements.
• Coordinate activities across households, communities, zones, parishes, sub‑counties and districts.
• Provide mentorship, training and technical guidance to field teams on case management, psychosocial support and prevention strategies.
• Document field experiences, emerging protection issues and produce regular reports.
• Collaborate on proposals, concept notes and donor engagement while aligning with Uganda’s Strategic Action Plan.
• Oversee budget expenditures and resource allocation to maximise impact.

Required profile

• Strong communication, networking and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in humanitarian protection, child protection or GBV programmes.
• Ability to raise awareness, link children to services and document protection cases.
• Solution‑driven mindset with a passion for delivering lasting impact.
