Technical Sales Engineer and Solar Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer and Solar Design Engineer to join our team in Kamwokya. You will combine technical solar design expertise with sales acumen to deliver tailored solar solutions for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system sizing, energy yield calculations and basic electrical load analysis.
• Design PV and electrical systems using PV design software and CAD for various project types.
• Prepare technical proposals, sales presentations and solution documentation.
• Assess client needs, recommend appropriate solar technologies and support the sales process.
• Coordinate on‑site installations and ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in electrical engineering, renewable energy engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 24 months of experience in PV design and electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of the solar industry, local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
