Trustee – Strategic Governance Role

About the role

The Trustee will provide strategic oversight and governance for Kenanne Corporation, ensuring the organisation’s mission, long‑term goals and ethical standards are upheld. Based on‑site in Uganda, the role involves regular participation in board meetings and collaboration with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review organisational performance reports and financial statements.
• Participate in board meetings and contribute to decisions on financial stewardship, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support major initiatives and evaluate policies.
• Guide resource allocation, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning.
• Monitor adherence to ethical standards and corporate governance best practices.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in governance, board leadership or organisational strategy oversight.
• Strong understanding of financial management, risk assessment and compliance in corporate or nonprofit settings.
• Ability to analyse complex information systems and business processes, with interest in technology‑driven solutions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and decision‑making abilities.
• High integrity, accountability and commitment to transparent practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Technology or related field; advanced qualifications or board training a plus.
• Willingness to serve actively on‑site in Uganda.
