Urologist – Clinical Care Specialist

About the role

The International Medical Corps is seeking a qualified Urologist to deliver comprehensive urological care in Kamwokya, Uganda. The role involves outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, and inpatient management within a multidisciplinary medical team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient consultations for urological conditions, including urinary tract disorders, kidney stones, and prostate issues.
• Diagnose and manage male reproductive health problems.
• Perform urological surgeries and procedures as part of the facility’s surgical program.
• Offer inpatient consultations, post‑operative care, and follow‑up for admitted patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results relevant to urological care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in emergency response for acute urological conditions.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with postgraduate training in Urology.
• Valid medical license and board certification or equivalent specialization.
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in urology, including surgical practice.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Fluency in English.
