Used Engine Oil Procurement Manager

About the role

The Used Engine Oil Procurement Manager will develop and strengthen the procurement network for used engine oil (black oil) across Uganda, building relationships with workshops, traders and transport companies to ensure a reliable supply for production.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sources of used engine oil from workshops, garages, transport companies, industries and traders.
• Conduct regular visits to workshops and collection points to maintain strong business relationships.
• Coordinate with traders and suppliers to accelerate collection and dispatch of black oil.
• Continuously follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and increase volumes.
• Monitor market prices and competitor activities.
• Resolve supplier issues and maintain long‑term relationships.
• Achieve monthly procurement targets set by management.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, trading, lubricants, waste oil collection, automotive workshops or related fields.
• Existing contacts with workshops, transporters or black‑oil traders is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Ability to travel extensively and work in the field.
• Basic knowledge of used engine oil (black oil) trading preferred.
