Assistant Professor – Electrical Engineering

About the role

The University in Uganda is seeking qualified academics to join its Electrical Engineering department at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. The position involves teaching, research, and supervision of student projects within a multicultural campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical Engineering.
• Design and update course materials, assignments, and examinations.
• Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable journals.
• Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research activities.
• Participate actively in departmental and university academic initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, appropriate to the academic rank.
• Demonstrated university teaching experience and/or relevant industry experience.
• Strong research background with a record of academic publications.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural academic setting.
