About the role

Ruka Pay Ltd is seeking a dynamic Commercial Growth & Sales Manager to lead its commercial expansion in Uganda. The role focuses on driving merchant acquisition, increasing revenue, and building strong partnerships within the fintech and payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive merchant acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute commercial sales strategies.
  • Lead, train, and manage the sales team.
  • Build strong client and business relationships.
  • Identify new market opportunities and partnerships.
  • Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and pipeline management.
  • Improve merchant retention and customer engagement.
  • Support brand visibility and market penetration initiatives.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or commercial management.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy and execution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, target‑driven environments.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, telecom, or related industries is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
